MXF MediaOrganizer is a MacOS application developed for the film editors of Final Cut Editorial – which allows for better content management for a remote based workflow with film editors based around the world. Avid MediaComposer imposes restrictions on media file locations, leading to a manual process for editors working across multiple projects. Editors routinely color code and move folders in and out of the root on the hard drive, a process not only tedious but also poses risks to keeping project-related media organized.
